SunEdison said Monday that it will trim 15% of its global workforce as part of a restructuring plan intended to optimize business operations aligning with current and future market opportunities. The clean energy giant indicated in its filing with the SEC that it anticipates that the restructuring will involve total charges of roughly $30 million to $40 million, which will be recorded in the third quarter of 2015 through the first quarter of 2016.
